I learned that there are A LOT of guidelines in regards to caring for children and taking part in their early education. Outside of a provider’s prospective and as a mother, it is a relief to read through the WAC to see the amount of regulations providers must follow to be able to handle young children.

I can’t say any of them came as a surprise, but I wasn’t expecting the volume of information early childhood education providers are given and must abide by if they wish to work with kids.

I definitely see how the WACs will define my day to day activities with children and guide myself and my co-workers through properly caring for children but through tricky situations regarding ethics as well.
