i would welcome them to a tour after operating hours. during conversation i would highlight the areas i feel are important where i focus on keeping children safe. safety procedures id highlight are keeping cabinets that have things like leaning supplies locked, classroom is safe and i would also show sleeping area and kitchen.

I would highlight the entrances and exits of the building and classroom and the procedures used in events of emergency. I would also mention how often the program has emergency drills to prepare for emergencies such as fire, earthquake, and lockdown situations. I also would show the parent the locks on the doors and security measures we have to keep children safe inside the classroom, on the campus, and outside on the playground during recess.

As a teacher I would highlight how the class is designed for the kids saftey and for fun. I could also let them know our cleaning policies. I would talk about our emergency routes. And our allergy preparedness.

I would start with a very positive attitude and starting showing the most fun part, the classroom. I would point and describe the ( Art center, Library, Home Center, Block Center, etc…) I would show the classroom schedule as well. After I would do a tour around the facility, show staffs, bathroom, emergency exit and playground. In addition to that I would reinforce how important safety is for our school and tell her that we provide a code to get in and out and we must keep the door closed all the time.

First of all, Its important to welcome the parents with happy face. Then give them the tour of the schools giving them all the information they need to decide if the facility is correct for their child – Like tell them about the curriculum, the schedules, the holidays, how the schools deals with with the various scenarios that might take place place sometimes. I would also show them the activities of the classes specially the age- group that particular parent so looking for, the play area, the bathrooms for the children. Also them send home with file which would contain all the important information that they would need to decide on the school.
