GuestMarch 30, 2025 at 8:53 amHaving a user friendly website with information about your school, staff, mission statement, tuition fees, and photos helps potential families get answers they need. Making sure your business is listed on Google business so it will show up in web searches. We also get lots of word of mouth advertising.

GuestApril 3, 2025 at 8:27 pmWhat seems to be the main thing on the east side is social media groups. They can lead to positive or negative reviews.
-
Great observation, Kate! Social media groups are indeed powerful for engagement, but managing reviews is key to maintaining a positive reputation.

GuestApril 18, 2025 at 7:13 pmPeople seem to look for the website first (they want to make sure the place is legit!). It is best to be sure it is kept up to date, with as much information up front as possible (i.e. schedules, class sizes, pricing and cost options).
-
Great insights, Jan! A well-maintained website is crucial for building trust and transparency with parents.

GuestApril 30, 2025 at 1:38 amA website that is easily accessible and as well as navigate. Be sure to have as much as you can about your school, ages you serve, schools you may transport too and a way to contact the school for information or to set up a tour. I have also joined all the area city facebook pages and started one for our school as well. I post on ours the children doing fun learning activities, school events and helpful information on things like biting, teething, potty training, and much more. I also reply to any and all responses on facebook of families that are looking for childcare. We get a lot of families this way!

Great insights, Carrie! An accessible website and active social media engagement are essential for connecting with parents effectively.

GuestMay 3, 2025 at 6:54 pmA user-friendly website is a great start. The site should use inviting fonts and colors, and the important information should be easy to find and understand. Up-to-date photos of activities will also give parents an idea of what goes on at your center. Utilizing other social media outlets, such as Facebook and Instagram, can also attract parental attention.

GuestMay 6, 2025 at 5:11 pmIn today’s digital era, it is important to note that there are two kinds of clients you will serve- one that is educated and working in corporate roles and likely to check out the school website and the other who use media for social reasons/entertainment. It is crucial to reach both. The way to do that would be to make the website as informative and attractive as possible giving information about the school’s mission, vision, history, leaders, programs offered, tuition fees, extended care, lunch, events etc. It is alos important to have social media presence to reach other potential groups- this could be by means of showcasing various events taking place at school on a regular basis and providing easy access to the website to those who would like to know more. With short attention spans, marketing must be intentional and powerful- it must deliver results to achieve the desired outcomes.

Great insights, Vanshika! Balancing informative websites with engaging social media is key to attracting diverse parents effectively.

This gives parents the needed information at their fingertips and helps answer any questions they might have. It’s important to have a visually appealing site but also one that connects users with photos and shows a real representation of your center.

GuestJune 16, 2025 at 6:57 pmWe have had a lot of success with our paid online advertising through social media. We get a lot of phone calls from people who have been on our website, but not a lot of leads straight from the website. We have previously done more community engagement and know that combining community engagement with a strong social media presence draws the whole community closer and leads to word of mouth referrals.

GuestJune 18, 2025 at 1:40 pmInternet Marketing works best when it is clear and easy to navigate. Parents should be able to find as much information as possible before having to call or visit the center in person.

GuestJuly 24, 2025 at 10:04 pmA good website that is current, up to date, and easy to navigate with links to emailing our facility is very helpful in attracting new families. For us, word of mouth and a good reputation as a quality child care facility in our area is how we primarily attract clients. We currently have a waitlist of about 500 families as there is high demand for child care in our area!

A simple, well-organized website is that includes your program philosophy, dynamic photos of the center, program schedule, tuition costs and staff bios. I cringe at my online bio but know it’s important, parents need faces and educational information about the staff. Parents want to feel like they already know you before they even call. Social media can help too, but the website is your foundation.
