GuestNovember 28, 2024 at 6:15 pmNo there is no screen time at my childcare. Whenever we see the kids are more overwhelmed we make sure to give them more outside time as per weather forecast or read them more books or give them something which is sensorial.

GuestDecember 13, 2024 at 1:04 amWe do not allow screen time for ages newborn to 5 years old. Kids in school have access to computers for school related purposes. Two children are on online school so they have more access to computer than others.

GuestDecember 16, 2024 at 2:46 amWe do not have any screens at our preschool. This is beneficial to the children, and I do not even notice they are gone. I have never worked at a preschool that has screens.

GuestDecember 19, 2024 at 7:32 pmWe do not have rule for screen time, but we don’t use screen time a lot. Maybe once a week they will get to watch a tv clip for about 10 mins before lunch comes or 15 mins at the end of the day waiting for parents if they are one of the last children. Once in while we will do a movie day for the older children during special occasions.

GuestDecember 29, 2024 at 5:05 pmOur practice does not have any screen time whatsoever. In fact, we don’t have any screens available at all. I think that this should be the case for just about any childcare center, there are many other activities that can fill up the same time that screen time would.

GuestDecember 29, 2024 at 10:37 pmAt the center where I work screen time is very rare. We only use it to watch children’s programs while preparing lunch. We also use it to watch a movie for the last 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes of the day while kids are waiting for their parents to pick them up. On certain holidays we may use it to watch a holiday themed movie during the day!
