GuestJune 4, 2025 at 8:37 pmIn my class we used screen time for our stories and letter of the day. Other than that we play the music in the background with the tablet faced down

GuestJune 9, 2025 at 6:41 pmI have a home daycare -there isn’t a TV in my home so the children don’t watch anything on it- 2 times a month we either do a online storyhour or a toddler exercise video on my computer

GuestJune 18, 2025 at 5:30 pmWe don’t allow screen time daily and if we do offer screen time it’s a group activity for either a music/movement or educational activity, not for the children to play on the device.

GuestJune 24, 2025 at 9:08 pmYes there is very limited screentime at our center. It is usually used to help transition from lunch to nap time prep so there is no playing or running while laying out beds.

GuestJune 26, 2025 at 8:34 pmI travel to many different preschools each week to teach a movement to music program, utilizing Brain Gyms, motor skills, and follow the leader mtm, along with yoga, juggling, and many P.E. activities. Most of the younger classes, 0-2, have no TVs in their rooms anymore. The 3-5 classes may watch video’s but they are on a small tablet or laptop, and they are watching activity-based programs where they are dancing, moving, and singing along, standing up the entire time. School-age classrooms usually have, but not always, a TV mounted on the wall. These are not used regularly, but are used when they have a special summer program that may involve one movie that week. Oftentimes, the classroom has a Promethean board that is used for educational purposes when helping a large group with homework, and can be used for special programs or movies they get to watch. The use of electronics is generally saved for homework only. There are occasional exceptions when the parents and center allow a child game time as a reward for completing classwork, etc.
