GuestJune 27, 2025 at 2:40 pmWe have rules for screen time. Each child only gets 10 minutes a day on the computer. And they are all educational apps (math, science, Cognitive). Ipad is used by the teachers for music and movement and to research on topics by/with the teacher.

GuestJune 27, 2025 at 8:29 pmAt my daycare, we have movie day on Fridays. The movie can only be up to a maximum of 1 hour. We have a movement time, which includes friends watching how the song is danced, but that lasts only about 5 minutes, and then it’s no more screen time. If the kiddos need to watch a video for something they are learning about, it has to be 5 minutes and under and posted on our lesson plan

GuestJuly 3, 2025 at 11:30 pmThe center where I work there are no screen time because children will not be interacting with other children and they will be only be sitting watching screen and not playing and socialize with others leading to be sedentary which is one of the problem of obesity.
