GuestJuly 9, 2025 at 7:05 pmI work in a few different childcare centers given the nature of my position and each has a slightly different approach to screen time. Some do not allow any screen time with the exception of a summer movie day here and there. Others use it as a reward towards the end of the school day and others use it for brain breaks and movement activities. Each center does limit the amount of time spent and is using streaming or limited access tablets or technology so the ads are very monitored.

GuestJuly 16, 2025 at 3:59 pmScreen time is managed and monitored by our teaching staff. We only use screen time corporately (large group) and primarily to reinforce teaching through animation.

GuestJuly 16, 2025 at 5:08 pmYes! We are allowed during transition from lunch -get ready for nap. This way I have time to clean the mess without them running through the food on the floor.

GuestJuly 17, 2025 at 5:15 pmScreen time is not permitted during Nap or rest time, meal times and snack times, and there is virtually no screens being used except briefly for music or learning, and that is only for a short duration.

GuestJuly 17, 2025 at 7:04 pmWe do not allow a lot of screen time. Occasionally we will do a movie. We do use the tablet to do music with the children. However, screen time is very limited.

GuestJuly 18, 2025 at 3:14 pmYes, our school limits children to 2 hours of screen time per week and each day it is limited to 10 to 15 minutes of interactive screen time. Interactive screen time is when the teacher is their with the students doing the activity together. Another limit is that we can not read books on the computer but only listen and to really be careful of the screen time.

GuestJuly 18, 2025 at 5:41 pmScreen time is very rare. We might do active videos if the weather is bad or a movie day once or twice a year
