GuestJuly 29, 2024 at 6:31 pmWe do not have screen time available to the children at our center. On occasion we do use a YouTube dance video to get the kids moving and having fun when it is too hot to go outside to play, but we do not use movies or television shows as a means of entertainment. I find this to be really helpful for my own children when they are in the center because they are more inclined to use their imagination to play games and be inventive with their friends.

GuestJuly 31, 2024 at 7:23 pmScreen time is limited to books on audio at our center. Sometimes for teachers to set out lunch that is more in depth, ex: preparing tacos, it is necessary to have the children sit on the carpet a little longer so an iPad will be used for the entire group to play a book video.

GuestAugust 4, 2024 at 2:42 amWe do not have set rules regarding screen time. However, the children in the center do not have screen time as part of their daily or regular routine. When screens are used it is for using music and movement to build interaction shared from child to child and teacher and child.

GuestAugust 6, 2024 at 3:20 pmWe do not encourage screen time at our center. The teachers have to have all educational materials approved 2 weeks prior to intention of use. Clips that are approved do have to be ad free and must contain educational value.

GuestAugust 13, 2024 at 3:42 amScreen time is rarely used in our center. When we use screen time it is usually used for free time such as freeze dances and movie quiet time. When we are doing freeze dances or story times, teachers have to turn the screen, so they won’t see it, so they won’t get distracted.

GuestAugust 13, 2024 at 2:22 pmOur two oldest classes can have up to 30min of screen time daily, but it is last thing to be done, all other activities need to be done before that is available, likely we get to use it 3 times a week.

GuestAugust 14, 2024 at 2:56 pmYes we do not allow our children to have individual screen time. We may use iPads for group activities such as sing along with songs or factual videos regarding the topic/ theme we are learning about.

GuestAugust 18, 2024 at 7:50 pmWe do not have much screen time at our facility. We work with a smart board for 20 minutes in the morning time. The children do not have any direct screen time.

GuestAugust 19, 2024 at 3:32 pmWe do not have screen time really with the kids if any. I do not usually work with the older kids so with the little ones I will read, sing or play with them until it is time for them to go. But the younger ones are not even old enough to have screen time.
