GuestMay 3, 2025 at 7:25 pmI care for school age children. So I change the song for hand washing depending on the time of year. At Christmas time it will be Jingle Bells, at Halloween it will be the Monster Mash and other times it’s the ABC song. Any way for all the children to wash correctly as long as possible….

So for handwashing, it’s not unique, but singing is probably the best. I like to just make up songs to sing with kids.

-
Great suggestions, Ayla! Incorporating songs makes handwashing fun and encourages mindfulness in hygiene practices.

GuestMay 22, 2025 at 12:08 amWhen I was smaller, I thought listening to a hand-washing song was something that got me motivated to wash my hands. Also having cool colored soap and foaming soap was very fun to use. I think also using brand soaps that have a picture or image of the child’s favorite cartoon or character could help motivate to wash hands.
-
Great insights, Natalie! Incorporating fun elements like songs and colorful products can definitely enhance engagement and encourage curiosity in young children.
