I make handwashing fun by singing songs and encourage children to rub the soap around in their hands making a lather, talking about the texture of the soap and how the water feel as they rinse their hands.

An interesting activity to make handwashing fun for the kids would be using glitter to represent germs making it a fun way for children to learn how to properly clean their hands and not spread germs.

I like to create a soap bubble challenge with kiddos. We have a very fun activity to see who can make more bubbles while washing hands.

I like to sing and dance with the kids when it comes to washing hands. Another thing that I feel is really important is to engage in the activity with them. Do so with a smile on your face that way it can be heard in the voice. If you make it fun then it’s never a hassle to get it done!

Singing with them songs like Twinkle Twinkle little star for 20 to 30 seconds. The point is to entertain them while they learn how to take care of themselves and if they find it fun, it will make it easier for them to learn it.

Always always singing. Especially in the younger classrooms, the fun repetition really does do wonders.

Singing a song or sometimesletting them smell the fun soap makes it fun and memorable for the children to wash their hands.
