Components can vary, but strong early learning environments a lot of the times include flexible schedules and diverse activity’s that support the development across different learning stages.

I think that early learning childcare providers can create a “serve and return” environment by tuning in to kids cues and responding to their cues in a positive way.

I would let her know that I noticed the change in pickup times and ask if everything was okay before throwing at her my expectations. I would validate that things do happen but express my concerns and even remind her of a late policy if there was one, so me and her are on the same page.

WAC 110-300-0085 and WAC 110-300-0030 talks about how early learning providers MUST collaborate with families to support each child’s development and make sure everything is inclusive, with no discrimination to the environment.

I wasn’t surprised by the WACs though; the rules seemed to be applied for the right reasons.
