Approach it with a kind dameanor. Think if you were approaching yourself to have a conversation about your child. Use kind words. Have a conversation prepared. Also have resources to help the parents on hand.

  • It helps to know a child and help you as a teacher plan for each individual student. Then you can make plans based on what the need to know what they already know and what needs work.

A parent continueing to pick up late. I would first I would have a sit down talk with ask if anything is going on or if they was anything we could help with. If continued I would show them the contract and explain the importance of being on time.

What did you discover about the WACs while completing the activity?

That is very in depth and detailed information for all areas of child care.

Were you surprised by any of the WACs?

I was surprised by WAC 110-300-0455 that the maxium time is 10 hours. I had no idea thay could be there that long.

Can you see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children? Why or why not?

Yes, I can see how the can influence your day. By taking more time in making sure all WAC’s are followed and having a guide to always check if I have questions on proper care information.

From what I can find, the old guidebook from 2006 with different codification includes questions with the section ID. The worksheet appears to be a combination of an old worksheet, with the codes updated but referencing old fomatting. The old table of contents was formatted as such.
