When making a schedule start with the most important sections for basic needs such as meal time, nap time, and curriculum time. Once you have those planned, you can add activity times such as play time or outdoor time.

Some components of a good early learning area would be diversity in activities since all children are different. Having blocks, art, and library are some of my favorite activities that can be open to children. As well as having a good set up so children can comfortably play in certain areas for their interests.

Prepare by writing a sort of script of the bases you would like to cover about the child’s development and go over it with a colleague or your lead. Make sure to be respectful, objective and polite.

I think that screen time in child care should be very limited and not a regular segment in the day. In child care it would be more beneficial to influence children to communicate others, build relationships, and play toys or games that help with development.

Early learning providers can create a serve and return environment in there classrooms that support serve and return. Such as doing puzzles together, passing ball together and describing items for a child and having them guess which one it is. Also showing interest in activities that the child enjoys as well.

I would explain to Mrs. Hopkins that I understand that it can be hard for busy parents to pick up their child before closing time. However, it does affect our staff and the child when it is 20 minutes after close. I would recommend ways to help be able to come to a resolution. While remaining positive and showing respect.

The WAC that supports diversity and collaboration with families is WAC 110-300-160. This WAC states that early learning providers must provide diverse learning. This means culturally and racially diverse education by using different equipment that represents different cultures/race and being aware of bias.
