What are some good ways to approach a parent about developmental screening of their child? Always have a notebook to write whatever it is you’re going to say down so it’s easier and that way you won’t forget anything I tend to like to go back and forth between the good things and ways a child has been developing and the difficult challenges but also may explain that we’re helping the child in the ways we know who have the challenges and always let them know we’re open to their ideas and how they may handle it outside of the center.

I believe having stuff at the children’s height where they can reach and having different kinds of toys that they may know some and new ones they’ve never seen it peeks their interest in wanting to know about it and learn more makes them feel appreciated

How does observing and documenting a child’s development help early learning providers? Being able to observe and document a child’s development is a big thing I think because they will hit milestones and I would want those documented so it helps us who needs the extra help and who doesn’t.

I think screen time is okay if they’re doing a learning app or in the general idea of a learning app or even watching a tv show or movie before bed time is okay but not all day everyday it can mess with a child’s learning process etc

When it is free game time and we’re walking around playing with the kids and they show an interest on what something is and we sit there and explain what it is or even during circle time is a good time cause when reading a book a lot of different things gets a child asking questions
