A safe classroom with basic equipment, center materials, storage, traffic paths and clear views for adults. The learning centers must be inviting to a child. One of my favorite areas are Dramatic play, Art Center and a Quite cozy area with tons of books.

Some good ways of doing that is to be prepared, by having all the documentation of observation and assessments to prove that what you are sayings it is based on facts not in your own opinion. If the child might need outside help, having a list of local resource available it is very helpful and you may be able to connect them . Additional to that, confidentiality it is essential and records of those assessments must be kept in a safe place.
It is good to reinforce the parents that both of you are working on helping the child to achieve their goals, and they could count on you.

By doing that providers can observe child in the classroom, gather all those information and be able to provide a curriculum development appropriate for each children needs, based on their abilities, interests and skills. Also, while observing you can keep in mind goals for each child. Documenting is very important because it give providers data about each child progress.

I understand that sometimes emergency happens but that affects my schedule and school staff scheduled as well. On top of that I would mention that the child feels sad when he is the last one to be picked and this can create some anxiety. I would suggest her to have someone else as backup plan in case she can’t make it on time.

2) Diverse Culture it is way more than clothes, holidays, food. There is much more like religion, temperament, age, family background, languages, traditions… So, the most important things it is to be inclusive, respectful, learn about the culture, bring items that represent that culture to the classroom, try to engage parents on school activities, ask more information to them and talk about the importance of diverse society using, games, music, books etc…
