Observing and documenting a child’s development can help build confidence in the child’s learning process. It helps you understand how they learn and what they can benefit from you.

I would welcome the child with love and support and have them introduce themselves to the other children. Coming from an ethnic background myself it’s hard to fit in with certain groups but I would create a space for the child or children to share their differences and learn more about each other. I would celebrate the child by creating a family tree and/or start sharing their traditions.

I discovered that the WAC is more deeper than a license rather than a resource to train you better. I was not that surprised about the WACs they are all important for me to know. The WAC can help influence my day-to-day by creating a foundation for my training and keeping those principles in my mind.
