We practice strategies when children are not in crisis. We also say out loud what is happening in the moment and model coping strategies.</p>

I would talk about nap time layout and overseeing, first aid kit and protocol, and walkie-talkie communication in the case of emergencies. </p>

I would share empathy for the situation, but explain why this cannot be a regular occurrence.
