I found out that Washington State requires many trainings in order to even be eligible to work in any child care facility.

I was not surprised about any of it honestly, I knew from the beginning that working with children was always a serious case just because every child is different, whether its with health, learning, emotions or how developed a child is at their age. Being able to comprehend every child separately is important, you can not expect every child to be the same because every child is taught different things at home, and or sees things another child may not.

Yes, I can see how WACs will influence my day to day practice in acting for children. WAC has many requirements that need to be completed before even being able to work in any position that’s in childcare. Apart of all the requiremnts that are needed, you also just have to be patient in this type of career, and learn all the basics when it comes to a child… as in what to look out for in a child, what’s normal, what’s not and overall safety trainings.

I discovered that Washington State is pretty on top of things and has many requirements to benefit your safety as well as the childrens for many situations. I was not surprised by any of the WACs however, I was surprised by the amount. I do believe that the WACs will influence my day-to-day practice in caring for children as they are the guidline and basis of good and healthy Child Care.
