When welcoming the family onto campus I would make an effort to display the safety put on the outside and inside of the building, such as the gate/fences safety measure, the locks on the doors to keep the children inside the care so that they are being supervised at all times. Then I would point out what kind of activities the children would be doing; if applicable, where they would be napping, along with safety hazards, such as first aid kits, etc.

I would point out the gates we have in our classrooms and explain some of them have to be left open due to fire exits. I’d show them our age appropriate toys and also where we clean mouthed objects to prevent sharing germs. Tell them how we sanitize everything and everyone is stars, cpr, and food certified. Probably also tell them about our teacher to child ratio.

As they arrive, they will be welcomed with by a staff member with a warm smile, and will be walked over to the classroom with the main teachers during school hours. After they will be introduced to the teachers and the child will be welcomed into the rooms and be able to join the kids and get a feel of the room. The teachers will explain he schedules, activities, where news calendars are, and supplies needed for the classrooms. After getting a feel for the class and catching a vibe, the playground and the safety routes.

    4. Health and Hygiene: I would discuss our policies regarding illness prevention, handwashing routines, and sanitation practices to minimize the spread of germs and maintain a healthy environment for children.

    5. Security Measures: I would outline our procedures for controlling access to the facility, such as sign-in/sign-out protocols, visitor badges, and surveillance systems if applicable.

    6. Safety Equipment: I would showcase the safety features of our facility, including childproof locks on cabinets, age-appropriate toys and equipment, and secure outdoor play areas.

    7. Communication: I would emphasize our open-door policy for parents to communicate any concerns or questions regarding their child’s safety. Additionally, I would highlight how we keep parents informed about their child’s activities and well-being throughout the day.
