I would start by showing them the classroom and how everything in the room is child-friendly. I would go over our routines for mealtimes. Then I would show them the outdoor play areas and the safety measures in that environment. Then I would highlight how access to the building as a whole works and ensure that their child would be safe.

Show them where first aid kits are, our storage for the different things children will need, explain procedures and schedules, explain safety measures. Introduce them to teachers, and answer any questions they may have.

talk to them about what would happen if the child appeared sick or has shown sighs of being sick. tell them how we would handle the situation. how they will be called to pick their child up early. also talk to them about natural disaster, lock downs, and fires and how those will be handled and they they should expect from us.

I would welcome the parents to the classroom and show them around all the different centers first. Then I would tell them our thorough cleaning and sanitizing policy. I would highlight the measures we go to ensure allergy safety, and how to respond incase of an emergency.

I would be sure to warmly welcome them and thank them for choosing me as their child care provider. I would go over the rules in my class and over the safety procedure should there be an emergency. Then answer any questions and concerns they may have

MemberMarch 31, 2023 at 5:38 amIf my program offered tours, I would show each of the different stations we have for different activities. I would also highlight lesson plans for preschool-aged children if applicable. I would show licensing guidelines of ratios, see what kind of food and snacks we offer, show the bathrooms, how we would evacuate during an emergency, and where medications are stored.
