Something interesting I discovered while reviewing the WACs was that WAC 110-300-005 has a complete list of DCYF official definitions of different words used in this chapter. This was super helpful if I ever came across something I was unsure of.A WAC that surprised me was WAC 110-300-0465. It amazed me how many different types of records are required to be stored at each licensed childcare center. I was especially surprised to learn that my boss is required to have attendance records from children that attended our childcare center 5 years ago. Learning about all of these WACs is very important. These are the rules and regulations for what I should and should not be doing so it is crucial that I study them, it does affect my daily life.

I was a little surprised WAC only required a license for childcare in a family home when working with preschool age children if their time in the facility was over 4 hours in length. This did not correspond with child care locations not inside the family home, and the minimum time frame seems odd.
