Do you have any tips or advice on creating and maintaining a daily schedule for children?
my advice would be to allow the child to interact with knowing what his or her schedule is every day so that it because routine for them and less stress and confusion will arise.

By using a anecdotal record we can track the differences in strengths and areas for improvement which then can allow us to develop lesson plan specific to that Childs needs.

I believe screen time although it should be limited should be apart of a reward system or a fun day that the teacher host for the children and should not be implemented everyday learning practices.

Be engaging with that child. The third step is to name it.name what they see , do or feel. The fourth step is to take turns back and forth by helping with self control and interaction while being paitent. Lastly practice ending and new beginnings by sharing the focus as well as end one activity to start a new. an example of this could be circle time. which would allow all the children to be engaged and using most of this 5 step process.By following the 5 steps of Brain Building in what is called a serve and return we share the focus with a child by showing interest and attention in what the child is interested in. We all know life happens but to a child 20 minutes is a long time and to thrive they need that stability. WAC 110-300-0300 Individual care plan
WAC 110-300-0305 Curriculum philosophy and planning.
WAC 110-300-0315 Language modeling and reasoning.
The big message that WACs gives is that no matter the code they are all inclusive. Getting to know a child is very important to their particular learning plan. I would have the child do a introduction game with the children and staff or do their own poster titled all about me.These are some of the WACs that cover diversity and inclusion all though most WACs are all inclusive in one form or another.
