  • How does observing and documenting a child’s development help early learning providers?
It helps learning providers to be able to help all children progress, give the provider an ability to encourage and help a child believe in themselves more, and prepare them for school on an even keel level.

In my opinion, there shouldn’t be screen time in child care facilities, very often, maybe 1 time every 2 weeks depending on why, what it is in regards to, but should be for the older children.

  • By being down at a child/children’s level and interacting in their play. Talk to them about what they are doing, and interact in that play.

    WAC 110-300-0160
The biggest message is that we all need to respect each other.
We all come from somewhere, and we all have a different story, so respecting that and perhaps showing an interest in what is brought to the table. Acceptance for how you are.

Draw a picture of your imaginary child’s family, including the same demographics as above. Identify ways you as a professional could celebrate the unique characteristics of your imaginary child and his/her family.

    1) Sometimes they are hard to navigate, and a lot to understand.

    2) Not really too surprised at the WAC’s as Washington has a lot of rules and hoops one needs to follow/ jump through to get anything going in this state.

    3) Yes I can on a few different levels, and because you are dealing with children at so many different ages and the different parenting styles, learning speeds etc…I can see where they benefit you in your daily activities
