I would tell then to deeply observe the children and get to know them. Do things that these children love. Show them that you care and engage in activities with them such as special time

If I were giving a parent a tour of a child care facility I would want to show them fire extinguishers, show them rooms are child safe, ensure that all staff is trained. I’d show them that we make sure that toys we have are safe for all kids etc.

  • I think that in order to get children engaged in meaningful learning you have to get to know your children first. You have to know what interests them then after this you can include select appropriate classroom materials that will help them be engaged and you can also incorporate activities such as quiet time, readings, art, or circle time.

  • it helps them keep track of the child’s development to make sure if the child is making good progress. By observing and tracking this they can also develop a better understanding of how to properly care for the child.

paying attentions to the kids and their interests. You also have to build a focus to what these kids are interested in and encourage them to dig deeper in their interests.

First I would want to let the parent explain their point of view because we never know what struggles someone in going through. Then I would want to address the situation and help the parent understand the child’s point of view. When a child is always the last to get picked up it can effect the child negatively and the parent might not be aware of this so helping them understand may help.

The WAC conveys the importance of a diverse child care facility because without a diverse facility you are unable to reach reach each and every student. It is important to provide materials and equipment that relate to all students such as books, toys, language, music and more. The goal is to make all children feel seen and accepted.
