We have teachers gather together and decide. Our main focus is child-led play time, therefore we make sure free choice and outdoor play time are around 45 minutes. We add snack time and circle time around it. Each day we like to have a special circle, there are music, science, yoga and small group time.

Children-size furniture, open shelves for toys, and school routines are presented with pictures or photos. Bathroom habit reminders like toilet, wipe, flush and wash. Teachers smile and warm care.

However, you did notice some examples that might show they have developmental delays. Since you are not an expert in that field, recommend the resources to do the screening. Tell them the benefit of intervening early and how can that help their children.

I agree with no screen time for children at childcare centers. There are many activities that don’t require a screen. My school setting is 3-5 years old preschoolers. They don’t have strong academic needs to use screens to help with learning the alphabet or math. Save the screen time when parents want to for their children at home.

I would sit down and play with a kid at table time for a few minutes, or during heart’s desire, I would walk around and stay for a few minutes and play with some kids. One-on-one attention makes kids very happy also we get to know what they like and how they play with others.

It is important that you pick them up on time. It boots their self-esteem and confidence that they know their families will always come back. It also helps with the staff to clean the class and close up for the day.

Read the eight statements below that address a variety of topics. After each word is read, add that statement to the paper that best expresses how you feel about the statement.
STATEMENTS
- A multicultural education curriculum should be in place in every school. –strongly agree
- Families should not be expected to be involved in classroom activities.-strongly disagree
- All learning programs should accommodate all children with special needs. -agree, but I also think it depends on the center’s ability. I understand that the classroom is designed for all children. However, recently we have had one child with autism and it is really difficult to accommodate him. He needs a one-on-one aid, but we don’t have it. Teachers rotate and watch him, but just separate from his mom is hard on us…
- Some extended family members may confuse children, so they should not have a voice in raising or educating the child. -disagree, all families should have a say, but probably will depend on who is the legal guardian and who lives with the child, open communication is the key.
- My curriculum should be based on each child’s current interests. -agree
- Diversity includes race and culture, but doesn’t include age, ability or family make-up. -disagree
- Media in general delivers fair and accurate accounts of events around the country. -disagree
- The United States should discontinue relations with countries that engage in human rights violations. -agree
