It has to be clean and safe, those qualities are a priority, the room has to be well planned and with a nurturing environment. The equipment has to be at Children’s height and it has to have areas of confort such as cozy corners. Plenty of materials and books.

Documentation helps us to keep records of each child and also for the parents to know how they are doing in the classroom. Collaboration between teachers and parents is also required to reinforce the child skills.

I think that screen time is not completely unhealthy is it is regulated, maybe 15 minutes listening and dancing to songs can be use also for physical development. I think no more than 30 minutes a day, 15 minutes dancing and singing and 15 minutes listening to a story maybe while they are getting ready before nap time while they are taking turns to go potty. Other than that I won’t recommended.

Ask them open ended questions about the story being an active listener and lead them to participate in an exchange about the story. Every activity can be use for this purpose, circle time, playing games, Art activities and so on.

Also Showing them resources in case they needed. Nevertheless we will have to talk about the impact on the child, it will make the child feeling scared or even sad, being respectful and empathetic. It is also important to keep records of it in case it is continuous to have solutions made for this particular case.

Also take the opportunity to read multicultural books or listening to music and singing songs. I think it is important to treat kids with love and respect.

- A multicultural education curriculum should be in place in every school. Agree
- Families should not be expected to be involved in classroom activities. Disagree
- All learning programs should accommodate all children with special needs. Strongly agree
- Some extended family members may confuse children, so they should not have a voice in raising or educating the child. Disagree
- My curriculum should be based on each individual child’s current interests. Agree
- Diversity definitely includes race and culture, but doesn’t include age, ability or family make-up. Disagree
- Media in general delivers fair and accurate accounts of events around the country. Disagree
- The United States should discontinue relations with countries that engage in human rights violations. Agree
I think every one of the above describes by themselves what should be done. For me is also about common sense and treat others the way you like to be treated. Inclusion is not just an option, We are just a small piece of a puzzle in a big multicultural world.

What did I discover about the WACs while completing the activity? I see how complex it is and at the same time every point and every rule is designed for the well-being of the children’s.
Where you surprise by any of the WACs? I must say that I was surprised about pets and animals policy. Also all the points covered every little aspect to keep Staff and Children’s safe.
Can you see how the WACs will influence your day to day practice in caring for children? I definitely see it. It will keep me very focused on applying the rules, being well prepared and keeping up with the education needed to provide the best tools for the children to grow in a safe and good educational environment.
