For example if they have a soccer ball they would say it is black and white and it is to kick and play soccer.

When creating a schedule we need to think about the age group of children. Then, we can set up stations that will be held at different times. Circle time, Art, Reading, Dancing, Lunch, Outside time, Nap time, Snack time we can set up all those activities throughout the day.

Be sure to be an active listener with all of those involved in the discussion, as well as respectful and kind. Ensure the parents that this discussion is meant for the benefit of the child.

I believe screen time at the end of the day while kids wait for parents to pick them up from daycare is ok. We do this at our facility and they get about 20 minutes of kids educational programs while having a small snack. This is the only screen time they get, throughout the day they have different activities.

They can build different things with play dough and be focused on what they are building. While they build we can name the different colors that play dough is and they can take turns with friends using the different play dough colors.

All children must feel represented and accepted in the classroom, and incorporating the cultural practices of their home lives helps them to learn and develop in the classroom as well.

I was not surprised with any of the WACs because it is to keep everything and everyone organized and up to date on licenses and regulations to maintain a safe facility and environment. The WAC will influence my day to day practice in children because I will be aware of any allergies or health issues they may have and I will be prepared in an emergency.
