I’ve been through a similar situation where a parent picks up their 20-30 minutes late everyday for weeks. I communicated with them restating our centers policies and late fees and this doesn’t only affect the child but this also affects the staff. I make sure to be respectful and considerate of their situation by they also need to be fully aware of it’s consequences.

1. For anyone wishing to work in child development or create their own center, the WAC is a priceless resource. It is quite long and detailed, yet reading it could be a little intimidating at times.

2. More than anything else, I was fascinated by the segment that discussed the need of early intervention and the implications it holds for students with special needs as opposed to typically developing kids.

3. I use the WAC as a set of guidelines to manage my preschool at home. especially the sections on child protection.
