I would also encourage the parents to ask any questions and to be as thorough as possible.

This includes diverse items in the facility such as dolls, music, and pictures that do not reinforce stereotypes.
- The WACs give the message that it is important for facilities to have as much diversity as possible in order to make the children and families feel included and recognized.

- I discovered that the WACs are very in-depth and cover basically everything I could think of when considering what may occur in a child care facility.
- One WAC that surprised me was WAC 110-300-0175, which covers water hazards and swimming pools. Specifically the section that states that 5 gallon buckets cannot be used for infant/toddler water play. This makes sense but it would not be something I ever thought of.
- WACs will definitely influence my day-to-day practice in caring for children because the guidelines are set in order to minimize the number of risks that the children may face in a child care setting
