MemberMay 11, 2025 at 12:09 am in reply to: Expert Tips for Creating and Maintaining a Daily Schedule for ChildrenAt the child center I work at we have a schedule we do every day about 8:30 we circle time we were sing songs read books then snack time then playtime , lunch afterwards is nap time and after nap time is another snack and then we’ll have some type actives for the kids then playtime until everyone gets picked up . I believe having a schedule like that is good for them cause it introduces a good balance of learn and play .

Screentime is not appropriate for younger kids in a daycare setting maybe listen to some music or sing songs together and for school-agers maybe on occasion age appropriate movie like Disney they all can watch together

MemberMay 5, 2025 at 3:06 am in reply to: What to do when parents are late to pick up their child?I would talk to the parents ask them if they are okay and if a different solution for them getting their child at the correct time and explain to them that some kids tend to pick up on vibes and feelings of their parents and eventually kids start to become upset or embarrassed when being the last one always getting picked up
