I personally think that children under 2 should have no access to TVs because even the American association of pediatricians back this. This is because it raises the chance of bully behavior and the chance of having an attentional disorder.

This process all begins as teachers will introduce potential items or areas of interest to the child. From that if the child reactions in a positive manner than the teacher can match that positve reaction.

I would begin by checking in on her to see if there’s any issue in her life making pickup at this time not possible and also working with her to create a solution were her child is picked up on time in the future.

The big messages that the WACs give regarding diversity and collaboration involve including the child’s family within the child’s education, valuing the child’s culture and all cultures, and helping best promote the child’s education while creating connection between the program and family.

- While completing the activity I found that all of the WACs were incredibly detailed. I found this level of detail to be incredibly helpful in understanding them.
- I was surprised by the WAC discussing room arrangement because I think that really shows the level of detail the WACs go into.
- I can see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children because they can apply to many different possible scenarios in the child care center.
