Having a good daily schedule can help balance out the different activities with the children but can also help with having less stress and less rushing to the activities.

I feel like having a good environment for the children as well as being prepared, having everything well planned, and being welcoming.

I would prepare my self on what I want to explain to the parents, think about the important key points you would like to discuss before having the conversation. Think about different ways that you can help the child but also the parents as well, let the parent have some input on what they are thinking and how they would like to help the child.

Observing and documenting a child’s development can help us learning providers understand the growth of a child. It can help us better understand them and how their development is going.

I think that avoiding screen time for kids especially the younger kids could help them focus more on communicating with others but also help more with socializing. I think only having some screen time for educational videos or rhymes to help them learn.

Creating a “Serve and Return” environment by responding to children’s verbal and no-verbal as well. Also by creating a supportive and engaging community.

I would explain that 20 min can affect the child as they have been the last to leave but also explain how being late can cause anxiety and stress to the child as the child was expecting to be picked up at a certain time.

WAC discusses that “mandates that early learning providers offer culturally and racially diverse learning opportunities” which i feel like it gives us an insight on accepting with no judgement.

I discovered that you have to be licensed by the department to take care of children of the age 12 and younger. I was not surprised as everything is information to help us understand better of the responsibility we are taking. I do see WACs influence my day-to-day as it is important to follow.
