I believe that the best way is to talk to the children and let them explain and talk to you about why they did that because they really just need someone to talk to if they had had an outburst because something else is going on.

When I am teaching healthy habits I try to use a positive tone and sometimes make things into song, such as washing your hands and being a “veggie monster“To get them to eat their veggies.

Highlighting the safety in the care center I work for I would definitely point out the fencing in the play area for the toddlers that is dull and safe. All potential hazard objects are in a covered cupboard and in the play area all learning materials are large enough and all to which they are non-hazards. In the younger children’s classroom there are no outlets available.

The first thing I would do in this situation is go to a lead teacher or Director to have them assess the child as well before speaking to them myself. If we are Still suspicious we would report it or call 1866endharm

To create and maintain a good relationship with parents have a strong sense of communication between each other and come to solutions together while also avoiding judge mental language. After discussing with parents about any issue make sure to reevaluate in the near future to communicate progress or to talk about more options.

If I was A parent of a young child I wouldn’t want my child caregiver to make sure that they are clean, taken care of, and observed to see where they are at learning wise and to help.

  • Fun ways to get children involved is introducing new things and making them very exciting, but also find the things they are most interested in and have them show you or tell you about the object they love. Then you tell them about your object and why it is so cool.

Be prepared to discuss and talk to a coworker or go over with a Director to help. Have local resources ready to help the parents with the next step.
