I try to remember that I can’t do everything for everyone and that I’m trying my best.

Responsive exchanges include getting down on their level, identifying feelings, inviting them to play, praising them, reading with them and more.

I like doing monster/bear hunt songs that have kids walking, jumping, crawling and running.

I sing a handwashing song, and a hand rinsing song during hand washing time that shows kids how to properly wash hands.

I would highlight how everything is safely stored and clearly labeled in case of emergency. I would point out areas outside of class are safe and fenced in.

My biggest worry is that I won’t be able to protect children from abuse that occurs outside of school. Particularly when it concerns parents. CPS often overlooks cases and can worsen situations of abuse.

I will extend their learning by asking questions and modeling other ways to play. New materials and toys or things that move always get children interested.
