My biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is not reacting fast enough if a child starts choking, is feeling like they want to get ill, or even gets hurt while playing.

What is your advice for creating and maintaining a good partnership between caregivers/parents and childcare providers? A strong partnership grows from listening, trust, and working together for the child. It also means sharing open conversation, being patient, and giving each other time.

My thoughts on screen time for children in childcare is kids should not use too much screen time; it will not be good for their mental wellness. Screen time in children, is best if it’s controlled and age-appropriate and supervised by adults, centered on learning and interactive, hands-on experiences.

Early learning providers can create a “serve and return” environment by observing children’s focus, engaging with them, and exchanging turns in activities; teachers can strengthen positive relationships, guide learning, and nurture children’s mental growth.

I think creating fun songs to sing all together while doing movement is beneficial for children because they are doing exercise for the health and also having a great time.

I think that it’s important to consult with the parent if there is any way we can support them or helping them figure out how they can arrive on time or before the closing time of the learning center.
