As a routine we have breakfast, lunch, nap time, snack and circle time and projects we do at the same time everyday that way the children are in a routine and all on the same schedule. They know in advance what will be happening.

  • I would go into the discussion very professional. Make the parent feel comfortable and not like I am attacking them or there child. Have documents of previous work to give an example of what you are talking about. mke sure you back up your statements with facts. Make sure you come across as you having the best intentions for there child and for them to scucced.

  • Observing a child helps a provider know where the child is struggling, where the child needs extra help with, where they excel.

I think screen time for 1-2 hours a day for children is okay as long as it is an educational show. But I think listeing to music or just playing, playing board games is a better alterative for kids. As parents use and abuse the screen time that way there child does not throw fits or it gets them to stop from a fit.

I think serve and return interactions can be made when doing projects, pre school work, circle time or any other time the childs brain has to think and function. Asking them questions on what they are making for projects, what letter they are working on or color for pre school work or circle time you ask them a question on what you just discussed with them.

As a Provider I would expalin that the day care has set hours such as other business and that it is not fair to the child or the provider being late. Every now and then I understand things may come up and a quick text message to inform about the matter of being late. But this seems to be a more frequent matter and can not keep happening.

The WACs that adresses diversity are 110-300-0160, 110-300-320 and 110-300-0085 adresses collaboration with families.

The big messages that WAC includes is that if you include practices of their culture it will show that they are included and want to particiapte. Teaching/ information about different cultures will also help makes childrent fill inculded and show that there are other cultures out there but everyone is similar and should be treated equal.

  • As I read through the WAC for the worksheet I learned that the WAC is very thorough and important. Helps imform a person if they need guideance. Most importsnly is the childs saftey. Also outlines a good way a classroom should be ran. All my answers and guidance are all in the WAC for easy training or reshreshing the brain.
