I would welcome then and be open and inviting, I would then give them a tour of the room and a run down of everyhting that we do and the dofferent play areas we have. Show them the exits all the paperwork we have posted on our wall as well as the fire escape. Then send them home with a packet of all the daycare information that goes out to every parent when inquiring the daycare.

Th world in today is what worries me. The shows and internet that kids watch/get to use. The games they play. Violence has been a big deal in todays world and seeing how kids just want to fight or play bad guys. Makes you have to beware of your surroundings at all times.

Creating and maintaining a good partnership with families would be be welcoming and inviting, always be an open book, listen to what they have to say. Dont be defensivie as soon as they say something. Explain with reasoning. Building trust and mainitaining it through good communication.

Top get a child engaged make whatever you are doing fun. Each child has different ways that are fun to them. This is where the observation part comes in to know how to get each child engaged in the activiity. Have a positive and friendly personality and be entertaining.
