A tip for creating a developmentally appropriate, fun, and physically active classroom is getting outside and encourage playing outside with their friends, or encourage games like tag or physically active games.

You can make healthy habits fun by making a song out of it or a game. For example, when washing hands you can sing the alphabet.

My biggest worry about keeping children safe and healthy is making sure nothing bad happens on my watch that would put them in danger and hurt them. I am most interested in learning the tips and tricks to be the most alert and aware when working with children.

My advice for creating and maintaining a good partnership between caregivers/parents and childcare providers is building trust, being professional, good communication, and listening to the parents wants and needs for their child.

As a parent the three things I would want most from a childcare provider would be respect, professionalism, and safety. The three fears I would have when leaving my child in someone’s care would be neglect, unsafe by not being alert and aware, and poor, mean behavior.

Asking thought provoking questions as well and having a fun attitude to get the children to engage in the activity. As well as having hands on learning activities, something the kids have to touch and create while learning what you are teaching.
