    Definitely listening to the child when they speak. I try to follow up with questions so they know I was engaged and interested in what they were saying. The goal is for them to feel heard.

    It is definitely based on peer interactions. It is impossible to keep eyes and ears on every child. at every second. Sometimes if I am handling a situation, something else happens and I am worries that I will miss something.

    Maintaining communication and making an effort to build a relationship. When you have a relationship with parents, families, and guardians; conflict resolution is so much easier. This is because they have trust because you made the initial effort. They are also able to trust that you can handle conflict in a safe and compassionate manner.

    3. Willingness to build relationships

    Fears:

    1. Physical Safety

    2. Emotional safety

    3. The center not being clean

  • A way to get them engaged in learning is by incorporating their interests. If you are aware that they like dinosaurs, you can create activities centered around that. Also ensuring that activities are hands on is a great way for students to stay excited.
