You should talk to the child using their vocabulary in a private place. Then, you should be sure to avoid strong reactions or press for details if the child is not comfortable. Then, suspected abuse or neglect should be reported.

It is definitely based on peer interactions. It is impossible to keep eyes and ears on every child. at every second. Sometimes if I am handling a situation, something else happens and I am worries that I will miss something.

This is because they have trust because you made the initial effort. They are also able to trust that you can handle conflict in a safe and compassionate manner.

A way to get them engaged in learning is by incorporating their interests. If you are aware that they like dinosaurs, you can create activities centered around that. Also ensuring that activities are hands on is a great way for students to stay excited.
