One way is to validate their emotions. Let the children know that you understand how they are feeling and that it’s ok to feel a wide range of emotions and that their feelings are valid.

Incorporate movement and physical activity into academic lessons, for example: use body movements to learn letters or numbers.

Use storytelling, role play, get creating when doing something. Even incorporating games will catch the children attention.
