The best ways to help children recognize their emotions and control their responses are through exercises, listening, mimicked behavior (how you respond), and practice.

The first thing I do is identify how I’m feeling. I then analyze why I feel this way. I then implement some me time!

Listening, interacting, intuitively responding, and engaging are all important exchanges with children. Just sitting and engaging in block building could be a positive exchange.

It is often we as teachers forget out ourselves. I find it extremely helpful to exercise daily, and to leave the building for my lunch hour. These things allow me to debrief and take time for myself.

The advice would you give to other Early learning Providers who want to build connections with children in their classroom would be to practice special time with each child. I would advise them to be creative with how this could be implemented.

Absolutely! this would be helpful in the event of any witness abuses. This would help a teacher identify and know when it is necessary to report to CPS.

I believe the initial set up of the classroom, daily schedule, and planned activities all promote <b style=”background-color: var(–bb-content-background-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var(–bb-body-text-color);”>creating a developmentally appropriate, fun, and physically active classroom. This could be through music, singing, dancing, and movement activities.

    My <b style=”color: var(–bb-body-text-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is the influences<b style=”color: var(–bb-body-text-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”> outside of your program that you can’t<b style=”color: var(–bb-body-text-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”> control<b style=”color: var(–bb-body-text-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>.
