    let them speak, and listen to what they are saying, also give them options if what they want is something that isn’t possible at the moment. work with the child and don’t just shoot the child down and accidently cause them to be more upset.

    the more you play with the kids and interact with them, the more comfortable they are around you and the more likely they are to listen to what you have to say as well.

    yes, that way when you are dealing with rewards/or punishment it follows how the school is run and there is no room for error.

    if we are unable to go outside, then we could try stretch breaks, or a small exercise to at least let them move their bodies. we can encourage them throughout the day and remember to be thoughtful of what their home situation is like as well.

    as someone who works with children, children are my first priority, and I would rather be safe and wrong, then not do anything to help them at all.

    my biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is, sometimes things happen so fast and you can’t prevent some things from happening. I do try to make sure I can stay as healthy as i can.

    always greet them positively, tell them something good about the day and then maybe something that could’ve happened outside of the norm, and then say they hope they have a good evening and that I am excited to see what tomorrow brings.

    the three things i would want from my child’s provider;

    is accept them for who they are, be kind to all the children you interact or work with during the day, and let the kids ask questions or repeat other things that have already been brought up.

    three fears i have would be;

    not being able to have an open conversation with my child’s teacher, hearing my child getting told off for needing reminders about certain issues and not having a set schedule i can see.

  • try to build your lesson plans in a way that will get you kids excited about what they are doing. the more they see you excited about, the more excited they will be.
