Organize and implement some time to spend with the child individually to get to know them so that the students don’t feel left out or isolated.

I like to sit at my computer, put my noise canceling head phones on, turn on my music really loud and focus on the music. break down the instruments I hear, the back ground vocal and study the song. or go for a drive at night, or play with my dog

I would be sure to warmly welcome them and thank them for choosing me as their child care provider. I would go over the rules in my class and over the safety procedure should there be an emergency. Then answer any questions and concerns they may have

The law says you must immediately report the circumstances. If the suspected child abuse or neglect involves you or your staff, you must inform your licensor. You must contact CPS if you even suspect that certain injuries or bruises may be accidental. You must contact CPS if you see signs of emotional or sexual abuse or physical neglect. Even if you have made a report to CPS about a particular child earlier, you must report each new injury or incident. Do not attempt to interview the child or to manage the situation yourself. Both interviewing and investigating are the responsibility of CPS. Child abuse is a very serious matter, I would follow the law exactly

honesty, communication, trust, patience and being open minded. let the parents know you care for their child as much as they do.

    3 important things:

    1. treating my child fairly

    2. complete transparency

    3. patience

    3 fears:

    1. my kids safety

    2. being treated unkindly

    3. not being supported properly/falling behind with no help

  • first, I would take time to get to know their likes/dislikes. figure out if they learn by doing, seeing, alone, or in teams. if they learn by doing, come up with a hands-on activity to get everyone involved. if they like working alone, give the class some time to work on what they need and share at the end of class.
