Some ways to help children recognize their emotions and control their responses is by asking them how they’re feeling when they act out or are dealing with big emotions. Helping them walk through on how they are feeling.

I would use open communication with peers, have a strong community to help me bounce back up. Sometimes a break away from the classroom is necessary whether its 10 min or a day or a week, be able to ask for help.

Deep breaths when stressed, taking a walk, remembering that they are children and are still learning.

The advise I’d give to a fellow peer, is be patient and listen. Listen with care, make sure child knows they are being heard, reassure them, and talk it through with them after listening. Do some fun activities, play music or games, interacting will help build stronger connections.

Yes, in important situations arise childcare guidelines and policies are useful, like illness, event of an emergency, injury, evacuation.

A crib or playpen with a firm mattress— make sure the mattress and the walls have no gaps, no bed skirt on. Also a play pen cot is okay for them to sleep on also.

Games and songs always help make it more fun for the child to do then to have them think of it as a chore.

I would highlight our cameras in the room and hallways, to enter the school you need a passcode, our fire drill plans and are trained staff with CPR and First aid certified . As well too being a tree nut free school.

Reporting child abuse can be tricky, in a way that you always what to put the child’s well being and safety first. I would first bring up to my supervisor and ask her if their are any questions i can ask the child, or if she’d look into it, or if i should report it and let the cps official take care of it.

One of my biggest worry about keeping children safe, is us as teachers do not feel the support and safety from school when it comes to protection against guns.

My advice for creating and maintaining a good partnership between parent and child, is be open and positive, always communicate, build trust.

The three most important things I’d like to know from my child’s provider would be too keep my child safe, track their progress, and information about their day and if they have any concerns on my child’s development.
Something I would fear when leaving my child at a providers place, would be that they are not feeling safe or in a safe environment.

I engage children in meaningful learning with making their own experiment, talking in words that grasp their attention (I introduce new vocab, and give examples). when teaching something let students try it as you go.

When creating a consistent schedule, you’ll have to pencil in the times that cannot be moved like snack/lunch times and nap times. then add in the recess and different activities like “work time”. Give yourself enough time for transitioning.

Where it is warm an welcoming, well organized teacher and kept everything tidy.
