To help children recognize their emotions and be able to control them teachers need to talk with the child and le then know that is it ok that they are feeling this way and that there are things he/she can do to help. Then help provide activities that will help.

Keeping the children safe from choking and life threatening injuries, I am most interested in learning this.

My advice is to always keep communication open and positive so that a child’s needs can be effectively communicated.

As a parent of a young child the three most important things a childcare provider can do is keep me up to date in what is happening in the classroom, always provide a safe learning environment, and care for the child in a similar way as I do.

Make sure you include necessary activities such as meal times, bathroom/diaper change times, and include the children in choosing what fun activities might get put in the schedule.

I believe that screen time should not be used as a crutch and you should be allowing your child minimal screen time. However, in this day and age it is very difficult to avoid completely so as a caretaker you have to do your best at limiting it as much as possible.
