My biggest worry about keeping children safe is outside threats like school shooting, kidnapping, internet, etc.

I believe that screentime shouldn’t be used at a child care center with how widely screen time is used and accepted by parents in the home.

Showing an interest in the child’s focus at various times. Although there are multiple children, each child can feel special and heard throughout each day when implementing the serve and return steps.

I would initiate a conversation coming from a place of understanding. I’d try to find out what’s causing them to be late. I know work, traffic, and unexpected situations can be overwhelming. I would then explain how being late negatively effects their child. I would also possibly mention how it negatively effects the staff as well.

The 110-300-0160 WAC states “an early learning provider must provide culturally and racially diverse learning opportunities.” It also says to stop biased behavior.
