I agree with what you said about making them feel secure and in control. It is very important for a child to know that they matter, never feel left out or having to feel that way, and that they feel comfortable the whole time.

Making sure the children have a variety of activities they can do while also maintaining a time for snack, lunch, naptime, and/or outdoor play. Making sure they are having fun or enjoying what has been planned for the day and even while learning something new it can help them develop more skills.
