Asking open-ended questions to figure out why something may be happening, and then working together to figure out solutions and how to help the child. Keep the focus on the child, and supporting the family, to help promote positive engagements.

Emotional Safety3. That they are learning 3 things that I would fear regarding leaving my child is very similar – I would be scared that they were not kept safe, that they were yelled at and not emotionally valued, and that they were just sat in front of a TV and not actually learning anything each day.

Provide confidential information in a private space to ensure no one is overhearing the discussion. Have talking points or a script to ensure all information is provided, along with next step resources for the parents.

I think screentime in childcare for young members is unnecessary, and shouldn’t be within the space.
