A 2 month old should only be sleeping in a Crib or bassinet with no blanket. This needs to be level and secure and the baby should be placed on his or her back as to prevent Sids.

I think assigning jobs allows for every one in the classroom to participate, psychically and mentally.

The safety Procedures I would highlight would be our safety plan in case of fire, all exits, room for the children 35ft inside , 75 outside. Where our sanitizing equipment is and the regimen we require. As well as informing them that all food is handled with a food safety permit licensed individual.

If I suspected abuse I would inform cps right away sometimes time can be crucial to that child or vulnerable adult. I would also not inform the parents and allow CPS to take over from there. As a mandated reporter I have a duty to say something.

What is your biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe?

My biggest concern in keeping children safe is over stepping my bounds but I know that as a caregiver or Teacher it is my responsibility to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

I think creating and maintaining a relationship with parents and childcare providers starts with communication and active listening. We can relay what we see without judgement and by providing resources we are a simple guiding hand in that family’s lives.

Three important things I would want from my Childs provider would be Kindness, consistency and patience.

Do you have any tips or advice on creating and maintaining a daily schedule for children?

my advice would be to allow the child to interact with knowing what his or her schedule is every day so that it because routine for them and less stress and confusion will arise.

A well-planned environment encourages children to play and grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

Some good ways to approach parents about Sharing your observations is to do so objectively and that relate to the developmental guidelines as well as offering a referral or local resources for your observations.

Observation is key in the curriculum cycle. By using a anecdotal record we can track the differences in strengths and areas for improvement which then can allow us to develop lesson plan specific to that Childs needs.

I believe screen time although it should be limited should be apart of a reward system or a fun day that the teacher host for the children and should not be implemented everyday learning practices.
