Help kids understand what physiological signs they are feeling are connected to emotions they’re having. For example, when a child feels sweaty or has their heart racing, they might also be upset. By helping kids label their emotions, we can help them process things.

When I feel this way, I talk to friends and try to spend time understanding my own emotions. I try to get rest and examine how I can be healthier and more intentional in my healing and self care.

I would reinforce our sanitation procedures and show them wipes and sinks. I would also highlight a lack of “dangerous” equipment and that all of the materials we have are age appropriate.

If I suspected this I would report it to a supervisor to know what the best thing to do would be.

My biggest worry is children getting hurt or lost. Gun violence is a huge issue. I am most interested in learning how to be active and protect kids.

To do this I think it requires communication and cooperation on both ends. The caregivers should be realistic and honest about what the child requires, and the providers should be transparent about how they can meet expectations and care.

By observing and documenting a child’s development, early learning care providers can track the growth and change of a child’s development in different areas. This could be social, emotional, psychological or physical. This also helps establish baselines for individuals and their abilities.

Younger children shouldn’t have access to constant screen time. For older children, appropriate boundaries should be enforced but focused on building rewards and fun outside of screens instead of limiting screens as punishment.

I think matching games with cards and scavenger hunts could be a good example of serve and return activities and creating an engaging environment.

The school needs to have a discussion with the parent about the expectations for who is responsible for the child during that 20 minutes. If the teacher is scheduled to leave, they cannot do so without legally neglecting the child. Therefore it is imperative that the school talk to the parent about being on time.

I would foster diversity and collaboration by making sure different types of cultures and family structures were included. In addition, I would not create activities that target biological family members, and follow guidelines to make an activity that celebrates everyone’s unique differences rather than their shortcomings.
